Mobile Deposit FAQ

General Questions Applicable to either CSB-Mobile or CSB-Business Applications:

What types of checks are ineligible to deposit through Mobile Deposit?

Third Party Checks (made payable to anyone other than the owner of the account being deposited into); Checks Payable Jointly (unless both persons are on the account being deposited into); Traveler’s Cheques; Money Orders; Checks drawn on a Financial Institution Outside of the U.S.; Checks not payable in U.S. Currency; Substitute or Remotely Created Checks; Returned Checks; Altered Checks; Checks Dated 6 Months Prior to the Date of Deposit.

When will I see the deposit in my account?

You will see the deposit in your account presentments via online banking usually within two hours of your deposit.  We process deposits up to 6:30 pm ET Monday through Friday.  Deposits made after 6:30 pm ET may not be seen in your presentments until after 11:00 am ET the next business day.  Availability of mobile deposits follows our normal funds availability policy.

How will the transaction appear on my account statement?

Mobile transactions will appear as “Mobile Deposit”.

What happens if I accidentally deposit the same check twice?

Always write “deposited” on the face of checks you have submitted and verified were accepted for deposit until you destroy them 14 days after date of deposit. We will deduct the funds from your account equal to the duplicate deposit amount. Community Shores Bank reserves the right to remove you from the mobile deposit service.

How many days of Deposited Check History can I see?

30 Days

How long should I keep my deposited checks?

You should confirm your deposit has been posted to your account, then destroy the check after 14 days.

Is there a daily deposit limit?

Yes,  $2,500.

Specific to CSB-Business:

Is there a fee to use Mobile Deposit?

Yes. A $0.50 fee per check deposit will be charged and assessed as part of the month-end service charges on the account to which the check was deposited.

Is there a daily deposit limit?

Yes, $10,000.
